Compassionate Outpatient Psychiatric Care — For Every Stage of Life
Immediate Care Psychiatric Center (ICPC) has been serving children, adults, and older adults in Parsippany, NJ and the surrounding Morris County area for over 25 years. Our outpatient team — comprising Board-Certified Psychiatrists, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Licensed Clinicians, and Psychotherapists — provides expert, personalized mental health care in a supportive, non-judgmental environment.
Whether you are taking your first step toward getting help or continuing a treatment journey, we are here to listen, support, and guide you.
Our Philosophy
We believe in a patient-centered approach to medication and treatment. At ICPC, we start by listening — to your expectations, your concerns, and your goals.
We understand that beginning or changing a medication is not an easy decision. That is why we want to hear about:
-
Any concerns about side effects or interactions with other medications
-
Medications you have tried in the past — whether they helped or made you feel worse
-
Medications that have worked well for a family member
-
Your preferences and any medications you have researched on your own
Our Approach: Start Low, Go Slow
We believe in prescribing thoughtfully. Our goal is always to keep you on the fewest medications necessary to help you thrive. Over the course of treatment, we continuously evaluate your regimen — and when appropriate, we work toward simplifying it to reduce the risk of side effects and improve your overall safety and wellbeing.
Close Monitoring and Ongoing Support
When you start or change a medication, we schedule follow-up appointments every 2–3 weeks to monitor how you are responding. Once you are doing well and stable, we work with you to determine the maintenance schedule that best fits your life.
If at any point you feel you need to be seen sooner, please let us know. We will do everything we can to accommodate you promptly.
Coordinated Care
We strongly believe in a collaborative, team-based approach to your health. We are happy to coordinate your care with all of your other providers — including therapists, primary care physicians, pediatricians, specialists, and any other professionals involved in your treatment.
"At ICPC, a medication management visit is more than writing a prescription — it is an opportunity to know how your life is going: your work, your home, your hobbies, your relationships. We integrate supportive therapy into every visit because we want to know not only if your symptoms are improving, but that you are experiencing a true, positive life transformation. Our priority is that you feel heard, supported, and valued." — ICPC Medical Team
